Key informations – How to start a new corporate team

We’re glad to hear corporate basket-ball is growing and are more than happy to provide you with the below information you will need.
As you know, the BASCOL League is officially affiliated to the Luxembourgian basket-ball federation (FLBB).

The acceptance of your new team needs to run through our general meeting held annually in May. The season starts in September and finishes in April.

If you’d like to join for next season what you will need is :

  • Minimum to 8-10 players, who need to pass a “médico sportif” examination in Luxembourg: –> Médico.
    Please call one of these centres or take an appointment online, fill in the “pdf (demande de licence)” and send it back to us: https://www.bascol.lu/?page_id=2502
    Every person with a working contract domiciled in Luxembourg can play. This person can have a European basketball licence. If the licence is Luxembourgian and valid, the medico does not need to be done. Please note your team can be composed by maximum 3 distinct corporates (ex: abc S.A Luxembourg ; cdf sarl; xyz S.A.).
  • Two sets of jerseys from a different colour and 4 official basket balls.
  • Provide water to the visitor team during the home games.
  • Book a gym around Luxembourg City with minimum one weekly slot/practice of 1.5 – 2 hours with min. start from 6.30 pm to 8.15 pm.
  • Fill in the general information sheet we will provide you – Pay the annual Bascol membership fee: https://www.bascol.lu/?page_id=4280
  • Advance the referee fees (will be restituted at the end of each season, +- 60€ & 0,40€/km per game, please keep the bills, the referees are provided to you by the FLBB
  • Open a bank account – Possess a lap-top or tablet (Windows), needed for the home games, upon which you need to install the app. “Digibou” (https://www.bascol.lu/?page_id=5210) to be able to run the digital game-sheet. Which means that one member of each team (not a flying player), officials, needs to be sited at the desk, one dedicated to the digital game-sheet, and one on the score-board (opponent).
